According to licensed agencies, the permission for men to work abroad has been temporarily suspended starting at May 1.

The government agency said that it has temporarily suspended the right to legally work in other countries, except for Korean jobs sent through the EPS system.

"The Minister of Labor said in a meeting with the agencies on 30th April that every country that agencies are sending workers include except with South Korea which is a G to G system and these are for male only," said a official from an agency who attended the meeting.

However, those who have already approved to go and work will be permitted, they said.

""Those who have already been called can still go, Starting May 1st, no new demand letters can be posted at all," they continued.

The temporary suspension of men's permission to work abroad has raised concerns among those preparing to go.

Currently, there are many people who want to go abroad due to the military service law of the military council, and the military council is already preparing to recruit batch 2 of military personnel.
