According to a announcement on the Safe Migration Telegram channel operated by the Ministry of Labour on May 7, leave-return EPS Myanmar workers to South Korea will only be allowed to re-depart for overseas work if their names are included on the official departure list.
It was also announced that EPS workers returning to their home country on leave via the Public Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) must promptly report their return to the POEA office without fail.
The government agency is using a queue system based on the date and time of the worker's notification to process and grant reentry permission to these leave-return workers.
Therefore, only workers whose names are listed on the Safe Migration Telegram channel will be granted permission to re-depart for overseas work.
Currently, this requirement applies not only to those deployed through the POEA, but also to workers deployed by private agencies, those who returned from abroad on leave, and those planning to go abroad on their own arrangements. All must obtain official permission from the Ministry of Labour to re-depart.
Due to this reentry permission process, delays have arisen, and workers planning to leave for overseas—especially those returning from leave—are experiencing losses and difficulties, according to affected workers.
