Although the military council has set an age limit for male workers who will go to work abroad, but there is no age limit for male workers who will go to South Korea under the EPS system, according to the agency community and Korean language institutions.

As it is a G to G (government to government) system, it is not within the military council's age limit for men to work abroad.

"There is no age limit for male workers as the E9 visa under the EPS system is a government to government system. 18 to any age recircuited by the employer is valid. The E7 visa which is also a visa from South Korea  is processed by licensed agencies, so men between the age of 23 to 31 cannot go," said an official from the licensed agency.

The Ministry of Labor has restricted male workers within the age of 23 to 31 from going to work abroad since May 2024. But workers who will go to South Korea by government to government system (EPS system) are voided from the age limit.

Since there is no age limit, there are more and more people who want to work under the Korean Employment Permit System (EPS), according to Korean language schools. At present, not only male workers but also female workers are recruited by South Korea with the EPS system.
