According to Thai medias, nearly 100 undocumented Myanmar nationals have been arrested in Surat Thani Province of southern Thailand.

It is said that they were arrested on April 22 when the Thai police visited an oil palm farm after receiving a complaint that Myanmar nationals were hiding.

Those Myanmar workers crossed the border illegally through Ranong, Kanchana Buri, Tak and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces to go to work at Malaysia.

A total of 95 people were arrested including two children, 34 women and 61 men.

The arrested Burmese workers were sent to the Tha Chan Police Station and will be sent back to their home country after legal actions.
