More than 30 Myanmar workers, including underage children who crossed the border illegally to Thailand were arrested

According to reports from Thai media, more than 30 Myanmar workers, including a child, who crossed the border illegally, were arrested near the checkpoint in Thikhron village, Nunglu village tract, Sangkhlaburi town, Kanchanaburi district, Thailand.

At around 6:15 in the morning on May 26, 18 men, 9 women, 3 underage children, who came in a truck, were jointly investigated and arrested by Thai local authorities.

According to the investigation they are from Yangon Region, Bago Region, Mandalay Region, Mon State, Kayin State and they came to Thailand to work at Bangkok and other cities.

They have to to the brokers from 15,000 to 20,000 baht to came here and certain amounts have been paid.

It is reported that those who have been arrested will be taken to Sangkhlaburi Police Station to proceed according to the law.
