According to the agencies, Fraudulent recruiting, threating, looting of money and jewelry of workers who will go to abroad often happens near the Pang Long Labor office in North Dagon Township.

The female workers who will go abroad are mostly targeted and robbed their money and jewelry.

“Workers arrived near the Pang Long office as they have Thai employment contract. Two women told them that their agent called her and picked them up with a car. When they arrived far enough, the two women robbed their money, jewelry and mobile phones by threating them. Some even threatens their parents to transfer money from KBZ pay. They threatens that they will harm their children if the parents don’t,” said a victim.

1 woman also tried to fraudulently recruit two girls waiting to get hired for agent near the Pang Long labor office in North Dagon Township. The two girls called their agency office to confirm and when the predator went away after learning that the girls already know the truth.

“These things occur often. They have groups. The police do not take actions even if they report after being robbed. They take a break if their news become viral and started again when people forget,” said an official from an agency.

The Pang Long labor office in the North Dagon Township mainly serve as a place where workers sign their contract, study necessary courses, learn sewing and apply OWIC card.
