Day temperatures may rise in 11 states and divisions in April and preparation of heat protection in advance during factory work is necessary

The daytime temperature may be 1.5 degrees Celsius or more than the average April temperature in the third week of April in Nay Pyi Taw Administrative Region, Sagaing Division, Mandalay Division, Magway Division, Bago Division, Yangon Division, Irrawaddy Division, Tanintharyi Division, Shan State, Kayah State, and Mon State , according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology.

According to the forecasts, the daily temperature may rise in those 11 states and divisions, but the rest of the regions, such as Kachin State, Chin State, Rakhine State, and Karen State, may only have average April temperatures. Observers warn that it is necessary for people who work under the sunlight to be careful as heatstroke may occur uue to the hot weather and heat protection should be prepared in heavily populated factories.

"Factories should prepare fans for good ventilation and air circulation in crowded and dining places. In  case of an suddenly fainting, factories need to have a medical team ready to treat them, and if necessary, to prepare an ambulance to send to the nearest hospital. This must be done for hot season only. When it overs, preparations for heatstroke can be reduced and normal health care can be resumed," warned U Win Naing, a weather observer.

As for the rainfall there will be more than normal rainfall in Kachin State and there , there may be occasional showers and thunderstorms in Upper Sagaing Division and Chin State, and, it is expected to be less than normal rainfall other regions.

Today's unusual daytime temperatures were 47 degrees Celsius at Chauk , 44 degrees Celsius in Monywa and TadaU (Aviation Meteorology), 43 degrees Celsius in Min Kin, Sagaing, Ye Oo, Myin Mu City, Myingyan, Minbu and Magway  according to measurements.
