ZYZ Apparel factory dismissed a worker with 1 and a half year of service

It is known that ZYZ Apparel factory’s officials dismissed a worker with 1 and a half year of service.

Solidarity of Trade Unions, Myanmar (STUM) said that a worker called Ma Paing was fired and the case was reported to the labor office as 20,000 kyats from her November wages and 50,000 kyats from December wages are deducted.

STUM official said “We have reported to the office of labor guidance. Also, for not giving the minimum wages.”

Ma Paing, a worker of ZYZ Apparel Co., Ltd factory, was asked to sign a warning on the evening of 2nd January as she was late for work in the morning and took a gate pass in the evening. It is known that the super told her that the factory manager already said that she was fired and doesn’t need to come to work starting the next day.

ZYZ Apparel Co., Ltd factory is located in Shwe Pytha Township's War Ta Yar Industrial Zone and has been operating for around 6 years with about 800 workers. The factory is known for manufacturing ROMAN PETITE, GEMO and Sinsay brands.
