The garment factory opened at the entrance road of Shwe Pauk Kan Industrial Zone in Yangon offers one salary when hiring but reduces it when actually paying wages.
The factory's name is Yangon Global Star (YGS). It is located near the top of graveyard of Shwe Pauk Kan. Please help us.
The daily wage was stated as 7500 kyats in the job advertisement, but it is only 7000 kyats when salary is paid.

Daily wages have increased to 8000 kyats in other factories. Overtime wages have also been increased. In our factory, overtime is paid at only 1750 kyats per hour.
We are not allowed to leave until 4:30 PM on Saturdays. Even then, we are not paid double for those extra hours.
The social security fee is deducted every month. However, a social security card is not issued, and we are not sure if the factory is actually contributing the fees to the social security system.
There is no clinic in the factory. Not even a single pill is given even when we are sick.
The production targets are excessively high. The highest grade earners in the factory are paid only about the same as helpers in other factories.
Even A++ level sewing workers were paid only 430,000 kyats for March. This was even after working extra hours on two holidays.
That salary does not include double overtime pay, and the amount received is still less than the salary earned in other factories.
Even the supervisors are not resolving these issues.
As responsible authorities, we sincerely request your support and assistance in ensuring that all workers receive fair daily wages and overtime pay, just like in other factories.
Given the current circumstances, we do not wish to protest or cause trouble.
Thank you very much.
