The workers from WELCOMBINE LEATHER MYANMAR Co.,ltd which locates at Mya Tharaphi Street, Mya Sein Yaung Industiral Zone, Hlaing Thar Yar Township, Yangon Region said that the factory officials denied their leave submissions and cut their benefits by labeling as absent.

WELCOMBINE LEATHER MYANMAR Co.,ltd is owned by a Bangladesh national which is manufacturing PARFOIS brand bags with more than 500 workers and the factory said they would pay the seamstress who works in high machines a bonus of 50,000 kyats but in reality they give less than that,” said the workers.

“We use several machines such as small and high ones. The employer already told to pay the high machine seamstress 50,000 kyats bonus on the vacancy but they give only 15,000 kyats in reality and 35,000 kyats is exploited,” said the worker.

The line leaders is also verbally abusing the workers to get the unfairly demanded fabric outputs.

The foreigners are directly managing the workers in WELCOMBINE LEATHER MYANMAR Co.,ltd and day laborers are also not assigned as a permanent one and dismissed rapidly. The officials also dismiss the workers with many years of services and they never give prior notice for calling overtime. And the factory officials discriminate and hold grudges against the workers who don’t work overtime,

The WELCOMBINE LEATHER MYANMAR Co.,ltd  workers said that they want to request to give casual and medical leave, not to force overtime without their consents, the foreigners not to manage the workers directly and the leaders and supers not to verbally abuse the workers
