Tianjin Fashion Milestone factory failed to provide transportation which cause the workers to go back on walking

The workers from Tianjin Fashion Milestone garment factory said that they have to walk back home as the factory official’s does not provide the workers including child laborers transportation.

“We got big troubles and some live in far away. Who will take responsibility if something bad happens on way back home. The factory is cruel,” said a female worker.

There are news spreading that the workers are conscripted in way back home in Yagnon and the Tianjin Fashion Milestone workers are also having concerns as they are also forced to work overtime.

“The factory forcing overtime although they know the current political situations. They said they won’t provide transportation for the workers who don’t work overtime so more than 300 workers had to walk back to home yesterday(February 27),” said the workers.

The factory’s overtime is only until 7:00 p.m but the workers have to work until 7:30 due to counting the snack time. There fore the workers only arrive back home at 9 as the cars started to leave the factory only at 8:00.

“I don’t know there the factory owners know or not but the Manager Daw Mya Mya Htwe scolded the workers today (February 28) for not working overtime yesterday (February 27),” said a worker.

The worker said there was no overtime before but there was a contract and the workers are being intimidated by the supers and all supers with those contracts if they refuse to work overtime.

Tianjin Fashion Milestone factory which locates at Seik Kan Thar Street, Shwe Lin Ban Industrial Zone, Hlaing Thar Yar Township, Yangon  and it is manufacturing Sinsay and VERO MODA brand fabric with more than 1,000 workers and owned by a Chinese national.
