Those who were trafficked people to raft commercial fishing industry, forced the victims’ labors and exploited their wages were sentenced to 10 years in prison and labor

According to the July 30th edition of the state-owned newspaper the two people who trafficked people to raft to work at commercial fishing industry, forced the victims’ labors and exploited their wages were sentenced to 10 years in prison and labor under the Human Trafficking Law.

Aung Zaw Oo, aka Kywat Ni from Labutta Township, Ayeyarwaddy Region and Zaw Naing from Myaungmya Township, Ayeyarwaddy Region lied U ---- 34 years old at 2023 from Labutta Township that they will help him get a job at a Bread factory in Myaungmya but instead sent him to Than Naing, aka Lu Wa Gyi from Nyautmee Village Pyapon Township and exploits 750,000 kyats from the victim’s wages. 

According to the news, the perpetrators were filed under Section 36 of the Human Trafficking Prevention and Suppression Law  at the Kanbek Local Police Station (PA) 73/2023 and the Labutta District Court sentenced Aung Zaw Oo, aka Kywat Ni and Zaw Naing 10 years in prison and labor under Section 36 of the Human Trafficking Prevention and Suppression Law.
