We are workers from SUNLONG (Myanmar) Sports Co., Ltd bag sewing factory.
We would like to request some assistance.

We’re working at the Sunlong bag sewing factory located in front of Max gas station, near Nwar Chan bus stop, Thadukan Industrial Zone, Shwepyitha Township. The factory is owned by Chinese nationals.

We are being made to work excessive overtime (OT) at the factory. It’s becoming very difficult for us. We are called for OT every day until 8:30 PM.
Only Saturdays are until 6:30 PM.
We are made to work every other week even on Sundays.

We can’t refuse to work overtime. The pressure and verbal abuse is too much to bear.
We still have to work although we want to rest.

We’re exhausted from the excessive overtime and just want some rest. We’re not even allowed to not work overtime even for sometimes.

We’ve been doing this kind of overtime since March. It’s already the end of June, and it’s still continuing.

Our health is being affected due to this prolonged overtime.

Returning home late from work is also very inconvenient and we worry something could happen on the road due to safety concerns.

The factory mainly produces sports bags and travel bags.

We want the authorities to know about the difficulties we’re facing.

We ask assistance from Myanmar Labour News.
