SAC announced that government employees and retirees will be allowed to enjoy an additional allowance of 30,000 kyats

The Ministry of Planning and Finance announced today that government employees and retired employees will be allowed to enjoy an additional subsidy of 30,000 kyat starting August 1.

The statement stated that the pay raise and additional allowances were granted from time to time in order to support the livelihood and welfare of civil servants.

Starting from October 2023, civil servants have been allowed to enjoy 30,000 kyat per month as an additional allowance in addition to their salary.

Now, in addition to the 30,000 kyats monthly allowance currently provided for state employees, another additional 30,000 kyats will be added as an additional allowance starting at August 2024.

Furthermore, retired civil servants are currently receiving pensions will be allowed to enjoy 30,000 kyats per month as an additional allowance.

It is stated in the statement that the allowance will be start paying from August 1, 2024.
