Public campaigns to support MICS leader Ko Thet Hnin Aung in the Netherlands

A public campaign started in the Netherlands on May 1 to support MICS - TUsF – Myanmar Industries Craft and Services Trade Union Federation General Secretary Thet Hnin Aung. 

It is also reported that the people of the Netherlands are sending letters to show their support for Ko Thet Roo Aung.  The family of Ko Thet Hnin Aung will also be shown what is related to this campaign, and the MICS-TUsF Federation will continue to carry out international campaigns for the release of political prisoners, including Ko Thet Hnin Aung.

In November 2023, MICS Secretary General Thet Hnin Aung was sentenced to another 7 years in prison by the Military Council. 

In June 2021, the military council arrested Ko Thet Hnin Aung, charged him with Section 17(1) of association with an illegal association, and sentenced him to 2 years in prison with hard labor.

Ko Thet Hnin Aung was released from prison on June 26th 2023, but has been missing ever since. Close to 5 months after he went missing, it was known that he was charged her 52/A and sentenced her to 7 years of hard labor by the military council according to the people who are close to him.
