Protests at Kingsrich Myanmar bag garment factory reaches the third day

Workers from Kingsrich Myanmar bag factory which locates at Thanchatwun U Nyunt Street (Yay Pyar Bus-stop), Industrial Zone 2, Shwe Pyi Thar Township, Yangon said that they are still protesting until the third day.

Around 1,300 workers participated for the pay raise protest. It is said that a supervisor woman and a line super woman intimidate the workers with less than 3 months of service to go back to work by forcing them to sign.

“This factory is one of the top 5 biggest factories in your country. We will print vinyl pictures of your photo and black list you from applying at other factories,” the worker quoted the supervisor’s words.

Workers said that Kingsrich Myanmar factory owned by a Chinese national although it is known as a bag factory.
