It is known that Pepsi company filed a counterclaim in the case where their CEO, HR and the label are sued as subsequent proceedings in the case where a worker filed lawsuit the officials from the Pepsi company.
"At the trial on the 21st, the side of the lawsuit submitted a prepared statement of defense. The next trial has been rescheduled for the 5th of July," said the person assisting the case.
On May 21 last month, Pepsi submitted nominations for 3 defendants. According to the decision, Daw Su Su Myat was allowed to testify in the case filed on behalf of the company.
At the trial on April 3, the judge ordered that the company be sued as an extension of the lawsuit after both sides were examined at the Mawbe District Court, in Pepsi’s case filed by U Thaung Han, a former employee.
The next court date has been rescheduled for July 5.
U Thaung Han was fired on October 31st 2022, due to their age which is against the EC contract and the worker permitted to file a lawsuit only at mid may of 2023 after negotiations were failed to reach solution.
Pepsi is campaigned at international consumers level to boycott due to dismissing veteran workers with more than 20 years without compensation and dismissing sales in the same way for not hitting the targets.
