According to the workers, the factory managers, all supers and supers are verbally abusing them while assigning them fabric tasks.
The workers said that Myanmar I-Tex Garment factory locates at Mya Tharaphi Street, Mya Sein Yaung Industrial Zone, Hlaing Thar Yar Township and owned by a Chinese national. The factory have more than 1,000 workforce and manufacturing brands such as WM STRECTCH and VV&q.
“The supers swear us rudely and ask fabric outputs far beyond than what we can make. The all supers and super do that too. They are verbally abusing us as they worried if we won’t finish,” said the workers.
The workers also explained the unfair condition where only the workers who are comfortable with the line supers and all supers get paid the fabric bonus but the ones who actual worked hard get paid lesser.
The factory allow the workers to take only medical leave but not other ones and there is no trade union and WCC formed in the factory, said by the workers.
Therefore, Myanmar I-Tex Garment factory workers want to request that to give them legal leaves, to negotiate about the fabric outputs and to demand only within their capacity, the supers and all supers not to verbally abuse them and if they do, to take action upon them.
