Workers from KSHENG (MYANMAR) Apparel garment factory from Thardukan Industrial Zone, Shwe Pyi Thar Township need help as the factory calls mid-night and all-night overtime without asking workers’ consents, those who don’t work are pressurized, discriminated and transferred.

The working hours are from 7:30 am but the supervisors called us to come 7:15 due to meeting. Some workers have difficulties to have a breakfast.

Overtime is called until 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and supervisors pressurized and intimidated the workers who have issues or exhaust although the HR manager understand.

The line 10 super Daw – is the worst and she discriminate and pressurize the workers more than other leaders.

It’s a culture to pay homage to supervisors as our mentors or parents annually in Thadingyut but we don’t even have consents this year.

The reason is they don’t treat well and understand the workers although we treated them like mentor or parents.

We asked for help as we want resolvent from the authorities and brand officials including overtime issues but the ministry didn’t address the illegal and force overtime issues. We doubt that if the Labour office is corrupt and being bribed by the factory as they don’t address our problems although we paid then taxes. We unburden our feeling here as we don’t know where to report to get help.

According to the Myanmar Labour News’ information, KSENG (Myanmar) Apparel garment factory locates at Thardukan Industrial Zone, Shwe Pyi Thar Township, Yangon and owned by a Chinese national. It is manufacturing Mataland, Clique, springfield, FB sister and GEM brands with around 900 workers.
