Honor Apparel will be close down

It was announced on January 1st that the Honor Apparel garment factory opened in Shwe Pyi Thar Industrial Zone 3 will be closed down. 

Honor Apparel Co., Ltd announced after a meeting with the WCC members that the factory will be closed down starting on February 1 due to lack of orders to operate the factory. Now, the period from January 1 to 31 has been designated as a notice period, it was written in the statement.

It is also stated that after the end of the notice period, the rights of the factory workers will be given according to the instructions of the law.

According to the data of Myanmar Labor News, the factory is located on Pale Road, Shwe Pyi Thar Industrial Zone, and employs around 900 workers. The factory is manufacturing Poland based Sinsay and Piombo and OVS brands and owned by the Chinese national Mr. Pong Xiyong.
