"Initially, we received reports that the workers Kings Rich Myanmar fashion garment factory in Shwe Pyi Thar Industrial Zone are protesting only for one request; an increase in daily wages. The entire factory was blacked out and no one was working. Security stuffs are waiting at the factory, so we haven’t gone there yet. We haven’t known what the demands are and reasons yet. We know that this factory still manufacturing HM brand apparels. They hire more than a thousand workers. The factory is a famous factory where problems occurs rapidly. They oppress the workers not to protest or form a trade union,” said a labor activist.
