It is reported that MLA (Myanmar Labour Alliance) and CDM workers of the Myanmar Labour Union in the junta free zone campaigned to support two female leaders, Daw Phyo Sanda Soe and Daw Khaing Za Aung, and to call on the International Labor Organization (ILO) to take immediate action against the Junta.

Both female leaders are reportedly discussing taking action against the military dictator at the ILO conference currently being held in Geneva, Switzerland.

Daw Phyo Sanda Soe has been elected as a labor representative to the ILO Governing Body, and Daw Khaing Za Aung has been awarded the Arthur Svensson Prize for her labor affairs efforts.

On June 11, the MLA congratulated Daw Phyo Sanda Soe for being re-elected as a labor representative to the ILO Governing Body.
