Burmese workers have been dismissed and faced pay cuts in China

A worker said that Burmese workers in China are facing pay cuts and being dismissed continuously these days.  The workers said that they paid well when there were lack of labors but currently, they are facing with pay cuts.

“Those who get 2,000 yuan per month before are only get paid 1,700 kyats for now and dismissed and cut with many reasons and no raise or overtime although overtime is called. Everyone is facing something, said a Burmese worker who is working in a Chinese garment factory.

The factories from Mansi, Yin Jan, Shwe Li and Jin Phone are not giving the overtime wages anymore and also pay cut and also dismissed workers who are working with one week card. In addition, the factory recircuits from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and those who aren’t doing well are dismissed.

The Chinese authorities are also arresting those who are working with one week ticket and only a few amount of one week card holders are permit to enter due to the news that a criminal had fled to China.  But a Muse local who is a Philanthropy team member said that those with passports are given priority to enter China.

Those who get a one-time entry card to China since February 26,27 are not permitted to enter China until March 3. Those who entered with one-time use card before was allowed to stay a year with the recommendation letter of the employee. For now, Burmese workers and locals warn not to come China as there were no more QR submission processes.
