A female worker from GOLDEN PROPITIOUS (Myanmar) garment factory physically assaulted and dismissed

It is learnt that a female worker from GOLDEN PROPITIOUS (Myanmar) Garment Co, Ltd garment factory which locates at Mya Street, Thardukan Industrial Zone, Shwe Pyi Thar was physically assaulted and dismissed.

The female QC stuff got into a dispute when she went to give the quality failed fabrics to the male seamstress from Mo Pattem brand manufacturing line around at 11:00 a.m. at August 29, 2024. She was thrown by screwdriver by the male seamstress and he tried to punch her but was naturalized by the workers nearby.

The manager summoned the female worker to the office and force her to sign the resignation paper but the worker refused to sign and that leads to illegal dismissal of her.  

“The manager said that I can complaint to anywhere but they would not care not the compensation will not be given. They said that I will be listed in the blacklist to not be able to work at anywhere if I complaint,” they said.

The factory is manufacturing balabala and Sinsay brand apparels.

The female workers are being assaulted by the men but the factory dismiss the victim women instead of protecting them. The similar incidents also occurred at the Kingsrich Myanmar Garment factory and it is known that the worker sued the employer.
